LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY

1. Coverage and Duration

Sunshine Alliance Cabinets & Millwork (hereinafter referred to as “Sunshine Alliance”) offers a Limited Warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery. This warranty applies to the original purchaser residing in the residential structure where the cabinetry was initially installed.

2. Non-Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. It does not extend to subsequent homeowners or any other parties.

3. Warranty Claims and Process

To initiate a warranty claim, the original purchaser must email info@alliancewoodworking.com with a detailed description of the defect and accompanying photographs. Claims must be submitted within the one-year warranty period. Sunshine Alliance will review the claim within a 72-hour period (three business days) and determine whether to repair or replace the defective product.

4. Remedies and Limitations

Sunshine Alliance reserves the right to decide if a product is repairable or replaceable. The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts only. Sunshine Alliance will not cover costs associated with labor, installation, touch-ups, or any other expenses related to the replacement of products, except those explicitly included in the original scope of work. These costs are the responsibility of the claimant.

5. Shipping and Handling

If a warranty claim is approved, Sunshine Alliance will cover all shipping and handling fees associated with the replacement of defective products. The company will also arrange for the removal of defective products and installation of replacements where necessary.

6. Disclaimers of Warranties

This warranty does not cover natural variations in wood characteristics that are inherent to the material, such as color, grain, or texture changes, unless these variations significantly deviate from the samples provided at the time of purchase. Minor discrepancies due to natural changes in wood or material are expected and do not constitute defects. Specific exclusions include:

  • Color and Grain Variations in Paint & Stain Finishes: Natural variations in color, grain, or texture inherent to the wood, including but not limited to: MDF, Hardwoods and Veneers. The approved samples may not reflect the exact color, grain, or finish of the final delivered product. Unless significantly different from approved samples, such variations are not covered as defects.
  • Color and Grain Variations in Laminate, Melamine, and Thermofoil Products: Variations due to Manufacturer Batches and Collection Updates, Not Covered by Warranty are not covered by warranty.
  • Finish Changes: Discoloration over time due to aging of paint, stain, laminate, melamine, or thermofoil is considered natural aging and is not covered.
  • Five Piece Doors and Drawer Fronts: Hardwood five-pieces (e.g.: shaker) doors and drawer fronts, whether painted or stained, may develop hairline cracks over time at the joints due to their multi-piece construction. These cracks are a natural result of usage and are not considered defects under warranty

7. Important Care Notes

To maintain the warranty, customers should follow these care instructions:

  • Allow bonding time post-installation (24 hours).
  • Monitor humidity, particularly around sinks, ovens, and skirting boards.
  • Dry any liquid spills immediately.
  • Handle doors carefully to avoid damage.
  • Protect cabinetry from direct sunlight.
  • Lift objects when moving them on furniture to prevent scratches.
  • Avoid placing excessive weight on furniture.
  • Ensure children do not use drawers as steps.
  • Prevent moisture damage by not placing wet or moist towels on doors.
  • Use heat protection and cutting boards to prevent surface damage.
  • Avoid sharp objects and ink contact with coatings

8. Limitations of Warranty

This warranty does not cover the following:

  • Non-Sunshine Alliance Products: Products not produced or commercialized by Sunshine Alliance, including glass (except when integrated with metal door frames), stone o
  • Non-Sunshine Alliance Products: Products not produced or commercialized by Sunshine Alliance, including glass (except when integrated with metal door frames), stone or wood countertops, backsplash, general stones, appliances, upholstery, and other accessories not included in the original scope of work outlined in the sales agreement.
  • Normal Wear and Tear: Wear resulting from normal use of the product.
  • Material Variations: Differences and variations in Laminate, Melamine or Thermofoil material shades, design, characteristics, color, tones, grains, and textures between catalog or showroom samples and delivered products.
  • Installation Environment Issues: Damage caused by structural problems at the installation site, including water seepage, termite or pest infestations, mold, and other environmental issues.
  • Improper Maintenance: Damage due to inappropriate use, lack of regular maintenance, cleaning, or use of non-recommended cleaning products.
  • Installation and Handling: Defects or Damage resulting from services performed by other trades, such as electrical or hydraulic work, or from the cabinetry handling, transportation, installation, or dismantling by individuals not authorized by Sunshine Alliance, are not covered by warranty.
  • Excessive Weight: Damage resulting from excessive weight placed on furniture beyond its intended use

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute concerning the application of this warranty, Sunshine Alliance and the consumer agree to first seek resolution through mediation. If mediation fails, the dispute may be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and pursuant to Florida law, as outlined in the Sales Agreement signed by the purchaser.

10. Manufacturer’s RightsContact Information

Sunshine Alliance reserves the right to make changes to the products as deemed necessary or useful without altering the essential characteristics or the coverage under this warranty.
